Why it matters

When the nearest cell tower is 100 miles away

Cell coverage disappears fast once you leave the highway. On a logging road, out on the water, or way off the grid anywhere across Maine and New England, your phone can go from full bars to nothing in minutes — and that's exactly when you need to be reachable most.

Your safety net

A stuck truck, a medical scare, or a breakdown on a remote road is a different situation entirely when you can call for help. A properly installed radio or satellite connection means you're never truly out of touch.

Your business doesn't stop

Dispatch trucks, coordinate loads, and keep crews moving even where there's no cell signal. Reliable comms keep logging jobs, service calls, and job sites running on schedule.

Built for where you work

Off-the-shelf electronics aren't made for gravel roads, vibration, and harsh winters. We install gear rated for the conditions you're actually operating in — and mount it so it survives them.

MURS vs. CB vs. satellite — what's right for you?

A quick comparison to start the conversation. We'll help you land on the right combination once we know your vehicle, route, and how you work.

Our story

Owner-operated by Patrick Dow

Patrick Dow grew up hunting, fishing, and working in the Maine woods, and started Dow Enterprises in early 2020 — not with radios at first, but golf carts, sold and serviced across the greater St. John Valley. The shift into communications happened almost by accident: on a Saturday morning at a former job, he was installing a weBoost cell signal booster in his own truck when a customer saw it and wouldn't stop asking for one of his own. Between the customer's persistence and Patrick's frustration, he applied to become a weBoost dealer — and the business found its real direction.

Karcher pressure washers followed in 2021, giving forestry and construction customers another reason to count on Dow Enterprises for quality, on-site work, with Easy-Kleen joining the lineup in 2024. Every install is still done personally, start to finish, by Patrick. Detail-oriented and particular about clean wiring and secure mounts, he treats every truck and every piece of equipment like it's his own.

Common questions

Before you book

Do you really travel to my location?
Yes. We regularly travel to shops, homes, and remote job sites across Maine and greater New England — including logging roads well outside cell range. Let us know where you're located and we'll work out the logistics.
Do I need a license for a MURS or CB radio?
No. Both MURS and CB radios can be operated in the U.S. without an FCC license. We'll walk you through what applies to your specific setup.
How long does an install take?
A single radio install usually takes 1–2 hours. While a full communications package (radio, booster, and antenna work) can take longer, we'll give you a time estimate before we start.
What if something goes wrong after the install?
Every install is backed by a lifetime guarantee on workmanship — if something we installed fails because of how it was mounted or wired, we make it right, no time limit. Repairs and service on equipment we sell are backed by the manufacturer's factory warranty on top of that.
What vehicles and equipment can you work on?
Pickups, semi trucks, boats, farm equipment, construction & forestry machinery. If it has a cab and a battery, we can probably wire it.
Do you sell equipment if I'm installing it myself?
Yes — everything we install, we also sell direct. Radios, boosters, Starlink kits, Karcher and Easy-Kleen pressure washers, Garmin systems, off-road lighting, DECKED storage, and more — order it from us whether or not you book an install.
How does the free consultation work?
Fill out the free consultation form below with a few details about your vehicle, where you work, and what you're trying to solve — or book a call with Patrick directly. Either way, you'll get a straight recommendation on what you actually need, with no pressure and no obligation to buy.
Every install. Every time. Guaranteed for life.

If something we installed fails because of our workmanship, we make it right — no time limit, no fine print, no exceptions.
